We are now at week 7 and I am delighted to announce that my Reason to Visit the Moorlands this week is Werrington and the Werrington Community Volunteers Group (WCVG).
I was delighted to organise this Climate Roundtable and particularly to welcome my colleague Mark Pawsey MP, who is a member of the Energy Security and Net Zero Committee.
Biddulph Festival is certainly a fantastic reason to Visit the Moorlands and I hope that many of you will support some of the great events that are taking place.
I was delighted to be able to ask a Question at DPMQs and tell everyone about this great initiative.
I look forward to welcoming my colleagues to the Moorlands
It’s Club Day in Leek on Saturday 8th July and I am delighted to have this very special event as my fifth Reason to Visit the Moorlands. For a whole year, each week, I will be focusing on one of the many Reasons that people enjoy the Moorlands and encouraging everyone to share their great experiences and photos of that Reason on my Year of Reasons Twitter page @VisitMoorlands.
This is week 4 of My Year of Reasons to Visit the Moorlands where each week, over the course of a year, I will be focusing on one of the many reasons that people enjoy the Moorlands. The feedback from local people has been really positive and it is so good to share and promote these fantastic organisations and people that we are so lucky to have here in the Moorlands.
It’s week 3 of My Year of Reasons to Visit the Moorlands where each week, over the course of a year, I will be focusing on one of the many reasons that people enjoy the Moorlands. My Reason this week is Froghall Wharf and the fantastic Hetty’s Tea Shop that I visited recently.
This is week 2 of My Year of Reasons to Visit the Moorlands. Over the course of 52 weeks, each week, I want to focus on one of the many reasons that people enjoy the Moorlands and advertise that via social media to the wider world. The first Reason, last week, was Alton Towers, and this week, the second Reason is the amazing creativity there is in our area, specifically the work of two of our great local artists Robin Wight and David Hunt.
I am delighted to launch my ‘Year of Reasons to Visit the Moorlands’ this week with the fabulous Alton Towers Resort – an incredibly popular tourist attraction that we are lucky to have right here in the Staffordshire Moorlands and certainly an important ‘Reason’ for people from all over the World to come and visit our local area.
