As many of you know, each week I have been featuring a Reason to Visit the Moorlands, and this week I am delighted to be focusing on an incredibly beautiful part of the Moorlands – the village of Ilam.
Week 15’s Reason to Visit the Moorlands is our wonderful places of worship. I have spent time in two of them recently – St Edward’s Church in Leek and St Lawrence Church in Rushton Spencer.
I was pleased to hear that some of our local farmers in the Moorlands have received grants and welcome this funding that has been directed towards supporting our farmers to produce Great British food in the Staffordshire Moorlands
I am delighted to hear that the “Moor for Climate” Phase 2 project has been awarded £2,355,224.36 as part of DeFRA’s Nature for Climate Peatland Grant Scheme (NCPGS) Round 3.
