Many of you write to me with your concerns about potholes and the state of our roads and it was for this reason that I started my Report A Pothole campaign. I was therefore pleased that The Chancellor committed to £4,456,400 in his Spring Budget to fix potholes in Staffordshire, increasing road safety for motorists.

I am on the board of the Staffordshire Moorlands UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF), which together with other funding sources, has a total of £5.5 million to be spent across the whole of the District and am pleased to announce that the website is now live and some funding opportunities are now open.

I welcome the announcement of the £440,000 funding for the Peak District National Park as part of £4.4 million in extra funding from the Conservative Government to support visitor and education centres, ranger services, and many more opportunities for people to enjoy our National Parks.
Last Friday marked one year since Putin’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine and I know that many local residents joined in the national moment of reflection to pay tribute to the courage of the Ukrainian people. I was honoured to invite Olga Stefanishyna, a Ukrainian MP and the Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic integration of Ukraine to the Tea Party I hosted at Alton Towers.
