The Conservatives introduced the Triple Lock in 2011 to ensure pensioners receive dignity and respect in old age. I am delighted the Conservative Government will boost the state pension by £900 this year, increasing the income of 24,313 pensioners in Staffordshire Moorlands.
I am pleased that eligible parents of two-year-olds are now able to access 15 hours of government-funded childcare a week, with the expansion to go further this year and next.
I know just how vital buses are to people across the Moorlands and therefore welcome the news that the Conservative Government is committing a further £3.1 million to improve bus journeys across Staffordshire.
I have been lobbying Ministers on behalf of my constituents and am delighted to hear that Staffordshire will receive £12,310,460 of funding to help children with special educational needs and disabilities and alternative provision
Biddulph Valley Leisure Centre is a brilliant facility. I welcome the £165,859 investment from this Conservative Government, to improve the pools energy efficiency and keep running costs down.
It’s Easter week and this week, at this special time of year and as my week 43’s Reason to Visit the Moorlands, I would like to focus once more on our wonderful places of worship.
I wish everyone in the Moorlands a very happy, peaceful and restful Easter.
I was absolutely delighted to be able to come along today and reopen the Post Office for Karen Malbon. I wish her all the very best and know that the Biddulph Moor community are also thrilled to see her back once more.
