Karen Bradley joined the BBC Politics Show on Sunday this week as the Conservative Party Conference kicked off in Birmingham. Karen and fellow MP Dan Byles were quizzed on their views on the coalition government's plans by Patrick Burns on the popular TV programme.

Moorlands Business and Charities Keep Karen Bradley MP Busy

While Parliament is in recess Karen Bradley has been able to visit many of the great voluntary organisations and businesses we are lucky to benefit from in the Moorlands. This week she has been to a wide range of places from Alton Towers to the SMCVS AGM.

Karen Bradley Joins Moorlands Tiffin Cup Hopeful Qarma at London Launch

Karen Bradley MP and Mo Ahmed from Leek's Qarma restaurant joined the launch of the Newby Teas Tiffin Cup 2010. Qarma was the top restaurant voted for by constituents in Staffordshire Moorlands and Karen nominated them for the cup. A record 73 other MPs also nominated restaurants from their constituencies to find Britain's Best South Asian restaurant.  The competition is in aid of World Vision.

Karen Bradley Supports Gary Lineker's Shot at Better Global Education

Karen Bradley, MP for Staffordshire Moorlands, joined Gary and Danielle Lineker at the Houses of Parliament on Tuesday last week (14th September) to show support for the 1 GOAL campaign. Gary is an Ambassador for 1GOAL which is an initiative which aims to mobilise support for education for all by using football to get through to a worldwide audience.  During the World Cup Dani Lineker joined 1 GOAL on an education trip to Khayleitsha, one of the fastest growing townships in South Africa, where opportunities for children are very limited.

Waterfall Puts On Its Bank Holiday Fete

On Bank Holiday Monday Waterfall residents opened their village to all-comers to enjoy the festivities at their annual fete. Karen Bradley visited with her family to join in the celebrations.

Rain and Fundraising Smiles at Ipstones Show

Karen Bradley visited Ipstones Agricultural Show on Saturday to join hundreds of visitors enjoying themselves in the rain. Karen said:
"Ipstones is always a great event. We enjoyed the gymkhana before the rain came and at least when we took refuge in the main tent there were some amazing prize winners. The flowers were beautiful. It was especially pleasing to see the Marie Curie cancer stall had sold all their tombola tickets so I hope they raised a lot of money!"

A Taste of the Olympics in Staffordshire Moorlands

Karen Bradley donned her baker's outfit for a visit to the Taste of the Moorlands bakery in Warslow this week. She was supporting owner Sarah Gayton's campaign to get the 2012 London Olympics to benefit rural businesses in Staffordshire.
