Moorlands MP, Karen Bradley is hosting a Social Distancing Coffee Morning on Friday 24th April at 11.00 to help those people who are shielding themselves due to their age or underlying health conditions to protect themselves from COVID-19.
Karen said:
“These are difficult times and I know that many of you are shielding or in lockdown. Many people are alone and as we move into another 3 weeks of lockdown, I am sure that just seeing other people’s faces can make a difference.
“All you need to do is make yourself a cup of tea or coffee for 11.00 on Friday 24th April, stand at your front door, look out of your window or even stand at your window and wave.
“I am hoping that many of you will join me and even if it is just for 5 minutes, it is a chance to bring a smile to people’s faces in these worrying times.
“Please do let other members of your family, friends and neighbours know about the coffee morning and if you have Facebook, I would be grateful if you could share the event.
“You can take a photo too and email it to karen.bradley.mp@parliament.uk – I would love to see the coffee morning pictures.”
