Moorlands MP, Karen Bradley is urging local business organisations and industry bodies in Staffordshire Moorlands to apply for a Government grant to help businesses prepare for a no-deal Brexit.
The Government has launched a new Business Readiness Fund of £10m as part of a package of measures to help business prepare for leaving the EU without a negotiated settlement.
The Fund will enable Business Organisations, Trade Associations, Chartered Institutes and other business membership bodies to apply for funds to drive business preparedness for Brexit by providing advice and practical support to UK-based businesses.
Karen commented,
“I welcome the creation of this fund and would encourage eligible business groups in Staffordshire Moorlands to apply.”
Applications for funding from eligible organisations are now open for projects to provide free guidance, advice packs, webinars and training tailored to the needs of business in a particular sector or location (not just their members). Applications will be considered for other types of practical support, so long as it is clear how the proposed activity can meet effectively an identified need.
All activities must be delivered by 31 October 2019 and guidance and an online application form can be accessed at: www.gov.uk/brexit-business-grants.
