Moorlands MP, Karen Bradley has welcomed the initiative “Staffordshire Warmer Homes” run by Staffordshire County Council to install first time central heating systems into eligible homes across Staffordshire.
The £150m Warm Homes Fund (WHF) has been established by National Grid to support local authorities to address some of the issues affecting fuel poor households. Other funding for the initiative has been provided from public sector partners.
Staffordshire Warmer Homes have identified a number of households across Staffordshire that could get fully funded central heating installed in their home. As a result, households could save up to £350 each year from their annual fuel bill by changing to gas central heating.
You can apply for this scheme if you do not already have gas central heating and you claim benefits or tax credits, have low or no income, are disabled, elderly or have very young children.
Karen said,
“I welcome this new initiative and would encourage eligible households to apply for the scheme.”
It is possible to apply online at www.staffordshirewarmerhomes.co.uk or freephone the Staffordshire Warmer Homes team at E.ON on 0333 202 4481.
