Karen Bradley MP was pleased to show her support for the Long Live the Local Campaign at their Parliamentary event.
Long Live the Local is a campaign backed by Britain’s Beer Alliance. The campaign celebrates pubs whilst educating the British public about the challenges they face, specifically a tax burden which is set to grow year on year. The Alliance consists of over 120 members, and members range from individual publicans and microbreweries to the UK's largest pub chains and international breweries.
Brewing and pubs in Staffordshire Moorlands supports 1290 jobs and contributes 37.9 to the local economy.
Commenting, Karen said:
“I was pleased to show my support for the many fantastic pubs we have in Staffordshire Moorlands at the British Beer and Pub Association's Long Live the Local event in Parliament recently.
I am also asking local people to nominate their favourite pub for the Parliamentary Pub of the Year Awards.
Please email your nominations with the Pub’s name, full address and what you think this Pub is great at to karen.bradley.mp@parliament.uk and the most popular choice will go forward as our local entrant.”
