Staffordshire County Council (SCC) are currently consulting on the future of our libraries, and Karen wants as many people as possible to respond so that these treasured resources are protected.
She said:
"Reading is probably one of the most important things we do. It improves vocabulary, understanding and even your economic prospects, it helps to boost creativity and imagination and most of all, it's utterly captivating!
"That's why I think it's so important to protect our libraries. The past ten years have brought huge technological advances that may mean the traditional library model has to change, but I know that Staffordshire County Council are looking for new ways to provide a much-loved service.
"If you want to have your say on what Moorlands libraries will look like in the future, make sure you respond to the consultation before the 7th October."
