Karen has recently been contacted by several constituents who are worried about the John Munroe Hospital Group plans to convert The Maples in Rudyard into a care home.
She commented:
"I know from my postbag that the proposed change of use for this building is a real concern to many people in the village and I am doing everything I can to make sure that their voices are heard by the people who will make the final decision.
"Though as an MP I cannot interfere in the planning process which our local councillors are responsible for, I can use my position to ensure that my constituents' objections are properly considered. I have already written to the John Munroe Hospital Group to ask them to meet me to discuss the issues that have been raised and I will also be passing on any correspondence I receive to the District Council.
"The more people who write, the stronger the case will be, so please do get in touch if you are worried about the plans. You can e-mail me at karen.bradley.mp@parliament.uk."
