My article in the Leek Post & Times - Getting Brexit Done

Getting Brexit Done with no more dither and delay.
This is perhaps most important of General Elections and a vote for the Conservatives is a vote for progress and prosperity that allows our country truly to fulfil its potential.
The election has been called in the national interest to resolve the Brexit deadlock. No other candidate in the Moorlands has pledged to honour the result of the 2016 Referendum – a vote for me means getting Brexit done, with no more dither and delay.

Out with the team in Leek

This morning, I was out and about with my fantastic Conservative team in Leek. So many people were telling us they just want to Get Brexit Done.
The Prime Minister has called this election in the national interest and support for me is support for getting Brexit done with no more dither and delay.

Making poor mobile phone signal a thing of the past

One of my top priorities for Staffordshire Moorlands is to protect our rural areas. I have taken up many local residents’ concerns over the last 9 and a half years concerning broadband and connectivity and will continue to apply my experience in government to get better broadband in rural areas.

Interviewed by Lasar Radio and Leek TV

I was pleased to be interviewed yesterday evening on Lasar Radio and Leek TV and to be able to answer questions about important local and national issues.
Thank you to Stephen from Lasar Radio and John and James from Leek TV.

Out with the team in Cellarhead and Cheddleton

I spent yesterday morning delivering my leaflets and talking to local residents in Cellarhead. There was lots of support on the doorstep and I was pleased to bump into Cllr Craig Beardmore who is a Councillor in Meir Hay.
It was then off to Cheddleton where the team and I had a really good afternoon delivering and discussing issues that are important to local residents.
Again, lots of support on the doorstep and thank you to everyone who has said they will be supporting me on 12th December.

Approximately 32,000 pieces of casework

I am so proud to have represented Staffordshire Moorlands in Parliament for the last nine and a half years.
I have dealt with approximately 32,000 individual pieces of casework since 2010 helping and supporting local people with all sorts of cases from Council-related matters such as planning or potholes to some very sensitive personal issues.

Tackling Loneliness and Isolation in Staffordshire Moorlands

Tackling Loneliness and Isolation in Staffordshire Moorlands is a personal priority.
I believe that My Senior Tea Dances, “Beyond the Front Door” conference and my Loneliness & Isolation Directory have already made some difference and I will work to provide more opportunities for people to meet and to get help.

Manifesto Launch

The Prime Minister has launched our 2019 General Election Manifesto.

If there is a majority of Conservative MPs on 13 December, we will get our new deal through Parliament. We will get Brexit done in January and unleash the potential of our whole country.

Signing up to the Jo Cox Foundation Pledge

I'm happy to sign this pledge and hope all candidates in Staffordshire Moorlands will join me.
The Jo Cox Foundation is calling on all candidates to participate in a respectful campaign and to share this strong, positive message of kindness and #moreincommon. @JoCoxFoundation
