After a busy week in Westminster, it was lovely to be back in the Moorlands on Thursday to campaign for our great Conservative candidates. It is always great to speak to local people on the doorstep and hear your views and opinions.

Parliament is back after the Easter Recess and last week after Cabinet and a day in Westminster where I made a statement to the House on the appalling murder of the journalist Lyra McKee in Londonderry, I joined the Prime Minister and other political leaders on Wednesday at her funeral at St Anne’s Cathedral in Belfast. 

Karen hosts another Coach Trip to Parliament

Moorlands MP, Karen Bradley was pleased to host another Coach trip to Parliament yesterday.
A group of residents from Staffordshire Moorlands travelled down to Westminster by coach and met Karen who personally showed them around.

After what has been a really busy few months in Westminster, it was lovely to be back home in the Moorlands with my family for Easter.
The sun was shining and as always, I enjoyed being out and about in the constituency. It is always refreshing to be surrounded by our beautiful countryside, which I really miss when I am in Parliament, and to be out in the fresh air with my family.

Many of you have contacted me with your concerns about environmental issues and climate change. Importantly, the Government has committed to leaving the environment in a better state than we found it and the 25 Year Environment Plan sets out a framework to enable this. It includes tackling the scourge of plastic as well as delivering cleaner air and water.
