The Churnet Valley Railway has long been one of my favourite local attractions, and particularly at this time of year when it transforms into The Polar Express.
On dates throughout November and December, departing from Froghall station, you can take The Polar Express and join a marvellous cast of characters including the singing Chefs, the Hobo and the Conductor - who sing all the way as they take you on a magical journey to the ‘North Pole’.
