The Beatrice

The Year of the Moorlands Village – Cheddleton

The Beatrice is a very special narrow boat which gives children with all kinds of disabilities and learning difficulties the opportunity to enjoy and learn from the delights of waterway cruising. The Charity really does such amazing work and they absolutely deserve the recognition of the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service.

Due to a shortage of water, the Canal and River Trust has closed the stretch of the Caldon Canal below Hazelhurst Locks and therefore, until further notice, all Beatrice's trips are starting and finishing at the CRT Wharf at Park Lane Endon.
