Farmers Lobby

Karen was delighted to meet a group of Moorlands farmers and NFU rep, Alan Dickinson, earlier today in Parliament.

The group travelled down to Westminster to join farmers from across the UK in the rally against Labour’s Family Farm Tax plans.

Karen commented,

"It was lovely to see some of our farmers in Westminster earlier today.

"I am opposed to the government's decision to impose inheritance tax on family farms and will do all I can to try to make the Chancellor change her mind.

"I have always stood up for our farmers and can see just what a dreadful impact this ill thought-out policy will have on family farms in the Moorlands."

I have seen the development of the Werrington Community Library over the years with great new projects such as the community shop and have always enjoyed popping into some of the many fundraisers they have held there.
