Local MP Karen Bradley recently encouraged local residents to take part in a survey to nominate their favourite local pub chef - and the results are in.
Staffordshire Moorlands residents have nominated Matt Earl of Roaring Meg for the best pub chef in the UK.
The national competition to find the best pub chef in the UK has been organised by the All Party Parliamentary Beer group, the British Beer and Pub Association, and Nestle Professional.
The groups are keen to recognise this important trade and show off the valuable skills that go into making our favourite pub meals.
Karen said:
“Matt Earl from the Roaring Meg received the highest number of survey nominations.”
“I am delighted to nominate Matt Earl and the Roaring Meg to go on to the next stage of the national competition and wish them the very best of luck."
