If you are looking for a job, or looking for staff, come along to Karen's Jobs and Skills Fair in Biddulph on 30 November. Karen is taking over Biddulph Town hall to put employers, job-seekers, careers advisors and skills providers together. Search Facebook for "Biddulph Jobs Fair" or follow Karen on Twitter @karen__bradley for further information
Karen says:
"I've been really pleased with the level of interest in the Jobs and Skills Fair so far and it looks like the hall will be bursting. If you are looking for a job or just thinking about a change of direction come along and see what's on offer."
The Jobs and Skills Fair is free to enter, and open to all ages, to those not in work today, or anyone considering a change of career. Local colleges will be on hand to discuss skills training, the Community Voluntary Services - who run Job Clubs across the Moorlands - and Job Centre Plus will be there to advise what opportunities there are currently and how someone might make themselves the ideal candidate for them. And businesses and organisations with vacancies are coming to try to find their new members of staff.
So if you would like to find out more about what job opportunities there are in the Moorlands, put 30 November in your diary.
Karen added:
"Unemployment in the Moorlands is statistically one of the lowest rates in the country, but that isn't enough. I am determined that I will do all I can to help put jobseekers in touch with employers so that people can help themselves into a new job. Come to the fair and you could make the right connections for your future."
The Jobs and Skills Fair is Supported by the NSCCI, National Apprenticeship Service, Sainsbury's, Remploy, the Fire Service, SCC, SMDC, Leek and Stoke Colleges, PM Training and many more.
