Cheadle Community Library

Local MP, Dame Karen Bradley was pleased to visit Cheadle Community Library earlier today where she met Chairman, Ivan Wozniak and some of the many volunteers.

As well as a Library, it is a hub for the large number of groups that they run, including Crafting, Storytelling, Knit and Natter, and Ancestry,

They have also started working with the local primary schools and nurseries to introduce younger children to the library.

Karen commented,

"I had a lovely visit earlier today and it was great to meet Ivan and some of the volunteers.

"I was very impressed with how the library supports the community, it’s a really warm and welcoming environment."

The photo is with volunteers Ivan, Andrew and Ruth.

I have seen the development of the Werrington Community Library over the years with great new projects such as the community shop and have always enjoyed popping into some of the many fundraisers they have held there.
