Mental Health Awareness Week is from 9th - 15th May and in order to raise awareness of this important issue, Moorlands MP, Karen Bradley asked the Leek-based charity, Borderland Voices, to provide some artwork for her office window on the theme.

Borderland Voices, arts for health and mental well-being, received the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service in 2017.  As well as Creative Writing sessions, they also offer Expressive Art, of which this is a small, recent selection.  They did most of it with placement student Jess Vere, who is the final year of her ‘Creative Expressive Arts for Health and Wellbeing’ course at Derby University.

Karen said,

" This week is Mental Health Awareness Week and I would like to thank the Leek-based charity, Borderland Voices, for providing the brilliant artwork for my office window."

The revelations of the last few days have led me to conclude that Boris Johnson is not a fit person to lead this great country. Honesty and integrity are vital in public life.
