Local MP, Karen Bradley has welcomed the latest figures on the University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust.
These show that a total of 43,589 more people were seen in A & E within 4 hours in 2016/17 compared to 2009/10 with 142,403 operations carried out in 2016/17 compared to 89,798 in 2009/10.
The number of diagnostic tests in 2016/17 were more than double compared to 2009/10 (297,876 and 145,654) and figures also show that there are now 362 more hospital doctors than in 2010 and 822 more nurses.

“It is thanks to a balanced approach to Government spending that we can continue to support investment in a stronger NHS. This Government will invest £120 billion a year by 2020-21 to protect the position of the NHS as a world class health system.”
