Karen Bradley MP is excited to host a free event in Leek later this month which will give small and medium-sized businesses the opportunity to find out how starting to export or how increasing their exports can help them to expand. Come along to New Markets: New Horizons event at Westwood Golf Club in Leek on 26th April.
Karen said: "Businesses that export have a much higher survival rate and they also tend to make bigger profits, but I know that the idea of breaking into foreign markets can be daunting, so I wanted to give a helping hand to any potential exporters - or those new to exporting - in the Moorlands.
"The vast majority of businesses here are small, but that shouldn't be a barrier to exporting, anyone can do it with the right goods and advice. Even for those people offering a particular service to clients, it may be that you have products you could sell abroad, so I would urge anyone that's interested to come along and take advantage of this free session."
New Markets: New Horizons, is being held with Staffordshire County Council and UK Trade & Investment at Westwood Golf Club on 26 April, 7.30am to 10am. A full breakfast will be provided. Expert advisors from UKTI and the Chamber of Commerce will be on hand to answer any questions attendees may have and there will also be a presentation from F Ball & Co - a local company with experience of exporting.
