The Grade II Listed Hazlehurst Aqueduct near Leek is one of the most significant structures on the Caldon Canal and remains an outstanding example of the skill and ambition involved in creating Britain's canal network. It is one of only six locations in the UK where one navigable waterway crosses over another, carrying the Leek Branch of the Caldon Canal over the main line of the canal.
