DR MAI BROWN AND DR AF JOHNSON ALTON SURGERY Coronavirus – COVID 19

Our primary consideration is to ensure the health and wellbeing of our patients and staff. We are continuing to follow guidance from Public Health England.

As the guidance is changing so quickly, we urge you to keep up to date with the changes via T.V, radio bulletins, bbc.co.uk/news NHS 111 online. If you have any questions or concerns regarding Coronavirus, please phone 111 who will be able to advise you further.

✔ Please do not visit the surgery without telephoning first. You can continue to collect your medications as normal, but please do not attend if you are feeling unwell. If you are feeling unwell, please ask somebody to collect your medication on your behalf. In order to do this we will need your written or verbal consent. Please note, the person collecting your medication on your behalf, may be asked for a form of photographic identity.
✔ Please collect medication after 11am. This allows our Dispensers to organise incoming deliveries in an effective manner.

✔ We are offering more telephone and video appointments. By doing this we are controlling the numbers in our reception area

✔ Please continue to take extra care with handwashing, making sure you are washing your hands at regular intervals throughout the day

✔ Please follow government guidelines regarding physical contact, social distancing and isolation.

✔ We politely ask you not to stockpile medication as this has a huge impact on our suppliers and you could also be denying fellow patients in need.

✔ Your respect towards our staff is very much appreciated, they too are doing their best in these unprecedented times.
To help us to support our local community, we need everyone to follow advice to protect themselves, family and friends.
Thank you for your cooperation
