This is good news for the whole country alongside the lower inflation figures earlier this week. Areas like the Moorlands are leading the way with just 1.9% of people claiming JSA. But everyone without work matters – they are not statistics, which is why I have held my jobs fair recently and I’m always looking to help people who need it find work.
“I know that there are still difficult times for many people facing pressures on their budgets and we have a lot of work to do to build a stronger economy. But it’s good news that there are now a record number of jobs in Britain and it’s a further step towards the Chancellor’s ambition for full employment across the UK as we have in Staffordshire Moorlands."
The statistics show that there are now a record number of jobs in Britain meaning more people than ever are taking home a pay packet and can provide for their families. I think this is compelling evidence that the Government’s long-term economic plan is working
Ed Miliband said the Government’s plan would “lead to the disappearance of a million jobs” - but there are now 1.5 million more people in work and unemployment is down 251,000 since the election.
