Yesterday, Karen hosted a coach trip to London and a private tour of Westminster for her constituents.
She said "After getting back from my unexpected appointment at Downing Street yesterday there was more excitement in store. It was a real pleasure to take a group of my constituents on a private tour of the House of Commons. It is always great to have the chance to meet so many of you face-to-face and I really hope you enjoyed seeing more of Westminster.
A particular highlight for me was hearing Bill, Leek’s Town Crier, do a "cry" outside Westminster Hall. It was a spectacular performance, and a wonderful reminder of the traditions of our very special market town. Thank you Bill for a fantastic experience - and to all of you for your kind words on my appointment; it was a lovely end to an exciting day."
