Conservative PPC Busy Over the Bank Holiday
Karen Bradley visits Ipstones Agricultural Show and Waterfall Fete and pops into the end of Leek By The Sea
Karen Bradley, the Prospective Parliamentary Candidate for Staffordshire Moorlands, spent the Bank Holiday weekend enjoying the best of the Moorlands at both Ipstones Agricultural Show and Waterfall Fete, and then found some time to let her children enjoy playing in the sand at Leek By The Sea.
Ipstones Agricultural Show was held on Saturday 25th August.
Karen said:
“Once again, the sun shone on Ipstones Show. The Parade of Queens was a real highlight and the crowds were out enjoying the weather and the array of stalls and displays. Aside from the setting and the views, one thing that I really enjoy about Ipstones is the way that there’s always a surprise around the next corner at the showground and there are so many events are going on at any one time.”
On Monday 26th August, Karen spent the afternoon at the Church Fete in Waterfall, before returning to her home in Leek in time to catch the last few minutes of Leek By The Sea, organised by the Leek Lions.
Karen added:
“The Fete at Waterfall was great fun, with probably the biggest crowd ever. It’s such a pleasure to see and join in with the community spirit that this fete invokes, with what seemed like everyone who had ever been associated with the village in attendance.
Finally, I wanted to show my support for all that Steve Povey and the Leek Lions had done in organising the Leek By The Sea event. Although we didn’t see most of the fun, it was clear that a great day had been had by all and a lot of money raised for charity.”
